When Dr. Velasco opened this practice she did everything that she could to be as green as possible. From using paperless exam charts, recyled paper, recycled recall postcards, buying office products that are made from post-consumer waste, to giving patients the opportunity to fill out paperwork online, Dr. Velasco and staff do everything they can to help the environment.

Dr. Velasco is proud to be one of the few practices in Nevada to carry the first green frame line called ECO (Earth Conscious Optics) by Modo. It is a stylish men's and women's frame line that is made from recycled metals and plastics. The packaging is also made of recycled materials and for every frame purchased, Modo will donate a tree to Trees for the Future. They also include an envelope so that you can send your old pair of glasses and they will recycle them for you!
